Florida DCF Child Protection Mega-fail

At a hearing in dependency court two days ago, the DCF attorney declared that an absent, unsupportive, patently neglectful father, who arguably abandoned his children, was "non-offending." The DCF attorney then

announced that DCF had started the process under the Interstate Compact on Placement of Children to ship the kids out to live in the custody of the loser who ran off to another state and left them. The father appeared by phone and declared he had no intention of appearing in person for the proceedings; someone said there is a warrant out for him. Child protection Mega-fail.
